H33 Custody › No Recovery Keys › Crypto Wallet Recovery
Identity Custody · No Recovery Keys
If you can't find the seed phrase, you have options.
Most crypto wallet recovery guidance ends with 'the seed phrase is the only way back in.' That's true for the wallet you're using today. It doesn't have to be true for the wallet you migrate to. H33 Custody offers beneficiary-based recovery as the primary path back in.
The recovery options most wallets offer
Hardware wallets: lose the seed phrase, lose access. Software wallets: lose the seed phrase, lose access. Exchange custody: maintain account control through 2FA and recovery flows — but cede custody to the exchange. Each option carries its own loss scenario. None offers beneficiary-based recovery.
The H33 recovery model
Beneficiary-based: you designate the parties who can recover access for you on defined events, with explicit rules. Biometric-bound: your own recovery is bound to who you are, not what you've memorized. Multi-party: no single recovery path is a single point of failure.
Migrating without losing anything
If you currently hold crypto with a seed-phrase recovery model and want to migrate to a beneficiary-based model, you can — without losing custody of the underlying assets. The migration produces a verifiable handoff record. The seed phrase becomes redundant, not lost.
